Academic Excellence & STEM

Delivering accredited secondary education, digital literacy, and WASSCE exam preparation to ensure graduates access tertiary and career paths.

Our curriculum follows national standards and focuses on critical thinking, STEM, and 21st-century skills. We encourage student participation and public speaking, and use practical lessons as much as possible.

We provide all textbooks for free, so no student's grades suffer because their family can't afford them.

Key actions

  • WASSCE national exam preparation: intensive academic support, mock examination series, and small-group tutoring.
  • Solar-powered ICT and digital literacy lab (planned): a 20-station computer lab with offline educational resources, digital research software, and certified ICT instruction.
  • Music teacher and creative arts suite (planned): funding a dedicated music teacher (£3,600 (GHS 55,728 · €4,230) a year) and an instrument suite, so the school no longer pays to hire instruments for events.
  • Extracurricular and career mentoring: debating clubs, science leadership teams, and career workshops supported by Wioso alumni, international volunteers and local staff.
  • Education continuum: supporting local primary schools so pupils make a smooth move into secondary school.

Core impact metrics

  • WASSCE pass rate: yearly target of 90%+, most recent result 98.4%
  • 100% of enrolled students receiving hands-on digital literacy and computer training weekly
  • 500 students gaining uninterrupted academic access every term
